I stumbled upon this bit of video genius today.
The Back to Church Sunday movement was an interesting idea, and I hope it got many old faces back in the pews. None the less, I think the advertising campaign was great. Get one solid rapper and put him on a song with several "Pastor types".
The video is meant to be funny, but it adds a little legit rap to the funny stuff and I think hits a Home Run. Dre Murray, who coming in at #1b for our #CHHRank, brings the legit-ness the ad with his lyrics and presence. He makes the ad for me.

As much as I love Andy Mineo, I just could not put him above Dre Murray. As a Christian Hip Hop fan you may or may not have heard of Dre Murray until he signed with Collision Records and was one of the featured artists on the “We Live As Kings” (W.L.A.K) album. But Dre Murray’s great music goes way back. I first heard him on his solo album “Manumit” in 2008, but since then he has released two of the best Free Mixtapes I have heard in the CHH world.

“Hell’s Paradise 2″
Check them out His latest project is called “Gold Rush”. I highly recommend it.Dre Murray is a story teller on the Mic. He captivates you with his word play as he weaves you into a story that help you understand where each song is going. Take a look at the way he tells the story in Christon Gray’s song “Blue Skies”House sittin on a gang of sandBut all he saw was the beach when he bought the landThe clouds come, the thunder roar
His girl outside working on her tan
The lighting strikes, rain pours
Now he screamin “where God when you need a hand?”
Foolish plan, no boat for the flood
Not a single blue sky, no man, nor dove
My life before I seen that blood
Red cross, flag down, man this must be love
Wow this must be a hero
But, why you saving me tho
I’m a zero
But you choose to call me son
Now I’m Theo
I love this guy. Check him out!
